Crypt, 2015. 3D printed sculptures, variable.
A series of ten 3D-printed church models in black matte ceramic. The churches were first modelled and visualised using 3D software. A procedural tool built in SideFX Houdini created an algorithmic workflow that generated multiple variations based on a restricted number of distinctive features from European church architecture. The unique additive process of 3D printing has enabled each model to house an inaccessible and labyrinthine internal crypt. Each crypt is undocumented but unique.
