The idea for this animation goes back many years, but it was very recently that I rediscovered the original sketch, made in MS Paint sometime in 2001. I looked again at the sketch and started combining the circle, chevron and cross into other combinations. Et voila.

I’m SO relieved to have finished this animation - I started it a couple of weeks ago before I moved house and kinda lost momentum half way through making it - a by product of living out of boxes.

Fairly happy with it. I think the concept is pretty strong but the execution was troublesome. Lots of lessons learnt.

Put together in Maya and edited in After Effects. Soundtrack composed myself, inspired by the track ‘Do Worry’ by Telex.

Now, onto fresh pastures. No more stick men - hooray!
