A longer animation this time, with a design drawn from some pottery I acquired in Venezuela. I extrapolated from that one design element (the houses) and tried to give it a little world to inhabit. The music is ‘Seis Milonguero’, a Puerto Rican song by an unknown artist. The text is an extract from Pablo Neruda’s Ode to Maize, translation:

”...the husks parted
and fruitfulness burst its veils
of pale papyrus
that grains of laughter
might fall upon the earth…”
